1BHK is a all day restaurant located at Oshiwara, Mumbai.

The cute cosy, homely theme restaurant serves all day breakfast, beverages, soup, salads, sandwiches, pizza, burger, appetizers, mains and desserts.

The cuisine cuisine is mostly european but they also have a bit of asian and regional delicacies in their menu.

There is a bit of contemporary touch given to each dish to make it more palatable and approachable to a wider audience.

1BHK has also started a maharashtrian thali that’s available for lunch on weekdays.

So here is what I had –

BEVERAGES :-

MASCAPORNE COLD COFFEE –
The cold coffee has a relatively thin consistency, I presume no ice cream iz added, the touch of mascarpone cheese gives it a faint hint of sourness. Nice !

SALADS :-

HOUSE SPECIAL CAPRESE –
Arugula leaves, tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella cheese salad with plums, pine nuts, basil pesto and balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
The tomatoes were peeled and soaked with basil stems for a distinct flavour, it made the salad extremely refreshing !

APPETIZERS :-

PRAWNS CHIL PIL –
Medium size prawns tossed in butter, garlic, spices and seafood stock, served with steamed bao.
The butter garlic sauce was added with a special in-house made fish masala, this made the prawns absolutely delectable.
They had spicy sour tangy zing !!
Serving it with freshly made chinese steamed bao was a fantastic idea !

PIZZA :-

FARMER’S PIZZA –
Thin crust pizza topped with sun-dried tomatoes, olives, bell peppers and feta cheese, drizelled with basil pesto.
The pizza crust was thin to a whole new level, it remained crispy inspite of the generous amount of toppings, basil pesto added an extra layer of flavour, super delicious !

MAINS :-

MAHARASHTRIAN THALI –
The maharashtrian thali is available in vegetarian and non vegetarian options.
I opted for the vegetarian one.
It consisted of sol kadi, salad, kothamvir vadi, black dal, black chana sambar, bharleli vanghi, steamed rice, bakhri, fried chilli and modak.
Each and every dish was special as they were staple homestyle maharashtrian recipes.
I loved the stuffed brinjal alot, it had a beautiful flavour of crushed peanuts and grated coconut.

DESSERTS :-

TIRAMISU –
Expresso coffee soaked cake layered with whisked mascarpone cheese. Served in a tall glass, garnished with cocoa powder.
Coffee liqueur was used in the preparation, the italian classic dessert was extremely delicious !

Overall, 1BHK is a fantastic option to chill with friends and family, its a place that one can go with everyone.
The food is surely their highlight as it has a lot of depth and underlying flavour.
Service was quick !

Go try indulge !
