Nom Nom is a pan asian restaurant located at Andheri, Mumbai.
It’s the brands second outlet to be revamped and relaunched.
The decor is now much more vibrant and colourful. The menu is somewhat on the same lines, pan asian, mix of chinese, thai and japanese.
Nom nom is best known for it’s amazing sushi and freshly made dimsums.
So here is what I had –
TOM KHA –
Coconut milk based soup with mushrooms and chicken, flavoured with lemongrass, kaffir lime and bird eye chillies.
A traditional thai classic, one gets a fabulous flavour of thai herbs.
SALMON AND CREAM CHEESE –
Maki roll stuffed with salmon and cream cheese.
ASPARAGUS TEMPURA –
Maki roll stuffed with asparagus tempura and wasabi cream.
The vinegared short grain rice, rolled with nori tasted delicious with the above fillings.
Soya sauce, wasabi and gari were aptly served with it.
DIM SUMS :-
– THAI ASPARAGUS
– ASIAN SPINACH AND COTTAGE CHEESE
– SPICY HARGAO
The dimsums are a speciality of nom nom.
What makes them perfect is their thin translucent wrapper that’s made with rice flour and of course it’s flavourful delectable stuffing.
Even the accompanied chilli oil and scallion dip acts as a perfect accompaniment.
BUTTER GARLIC PRAWNS –
Juicy prawns tossed with bell peppers and spring onion in butter with loads of chopped garlic.
Absolutely delicious, loved the mild seasoning of white pepper.
PRAWNS DYNAMITE –
Batter fried prawns tossed with wasabi infused mayonnaise.
The dish was truly like a dynamite, the pungent wasabi flavour was extremely intense. Some may surely find it over the top !!
PRAWNS THAI GINGER –
Prawns tossed in ginger soya sauce with lemongrass, cilantro and garlic.
The ginger sauce had a nice thai influence, soya ginger garlic flavour gelled with it.
SINGAPORE CHILI NOODLES –
Handmade stir fried noodles with sichuan peppers and chilli paste.
It had a peculiar zing, the evergreen chilli garlic flavour made the noodles appetzing.
CHOCOLATE SUSHI –
Fried coconut stuffed sushi topped with white chocolate and garnished ferrero rochers chocolate.
Insanely delicious, it’s the best sushi dessert I have had in recent times, what I absolutely loved about it was the well balanced sweetness.
Overall, I had a great time.
Nom Nom is a fantastic option to savour an comforting Asian meal.
The flavours are tantalizing but not over the top. I highly recommend their sushi and dimsums.
