Sapphire is a multi cuisine restaurant located at Juhu, Mumbai.

The pure vegetarian restaurant serves a mix of indian, continental and oriental cuisine.

Being a part of a three star hotel, the restaurant is open all day and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Sapphire restaurant also has a additional low cholesterol menu where soup, salads, starters and main course are made using minimal oil.

So here is what I had –

SOUP :-

GREEN PEA SOUP –
A soup made with vegetable stock and pea puree. Seasoned with black pepper.
Served with toasted bread and butter.
This was a part of the low cholesterol menu, tasted quite nice.

SALADS :-

GREEK SALAD –
Lettuce with cherry tomatoes, cucumber, oilves, bell peppers and garlic dressed in a olive oil vinaigrette dressing. Garnished with feta cheese.
Healthy and refreshing, the veggies were crunchy and dressing was lemony light and flavourful.

APPETIZERS :-

JADE ROLL :-
Spring rolls stuffed with spinach, cheese and veggies, deep fried to perfection.
Served with garlic dipping sauce.
The spring rolls sheets were homemade, the filling of cheese and spinach worked well as the spicy garlicky dipping sauce did the job !

MIXED KEBAB PLATTER –
Vegetarian kebab platter that had paneer tikka, hara bhara kebab, sheek kebab, tandoori broccoli, baby corn and mushrooms. It was served with mint chutney.
The tikkas were delicious, it had a tandoori marination of mild spices, mustard oil and yogurt.

MAINS :-

PANEER CHUR CHURI –
Juliennes of cottage cheese tossed with onions, bell peppers and green chillies in a tomato gravy.
Mildly spiced, it was a bit flat on the palate.

SUBZ MILONI –
Capsicum, beans, green peas and tomatoes tossed in a onion yogurt gravy.
A mixed vegetable dish with a sweetish onion gravy, again very mild in its spice level.

DAL TAKDA –
Yellow lentil tempered with desi ghee, cumin and curry leaves.
Simple but extremely delicious, a must try !

LEMON RICE –
Basmati rice flavoured with turmeric, curry leaves, dry red chillies, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds.
Nice, went well with dal tadka.

DESSERTS :-

PHIRNI –
Milk and crushed rice pudding made with saffron and garnished with nuts.
Served chilled, tasted absolutely delicious, loved the addition of chopped nuts !

Overall, Sapphire is a good option if you are looking for a pure vegetarian restaurant in Juhu area, its vast menu has a bit of everything.
Service is warm and location is easily accessible.
