Drifters is a brew pub located at Kamla Mills, Mumbai.

The pub has a vibrant casual ambiance, it serves freshly brewed beers along with european and mediterranean delicacies.

Drifters has six beers on tap which are brewed on their own brewery.

Their food menu offers soup, salads, appetizers, burger, pizza, pasta, mains and desserts.

So here is what I had –

TAP BEER :-

Tried their beer on tap tasters.

SUNNY BAVARIA –
Strong banana and clove aroma with a citrucy aftertaste.

TWIT –
Orangey with strong coriander flavour.

CHARLES THE PILS –
A signature creation from czech republic, extremely balanced.

LOVE PORTION CIDER –
Mild sweet refreshing apple cider flavour.

MILK WAY –
Strong coffee and chocolate blend.

CRICKET ALE –
Super strong n bitter.

My personal favorite was surely the apple cider as it was mild sweet and well balanced.

SOUP :-

SPANISH GARLIC VEGETABLE –
Vegetable broth soup with finely chopped veggies and garlic.
Simple and healthy, the vegetable broth had a nice lemoney touch to it.

SALAD :-

BABY LEAF –
Lettuce, micro greens and rocket leaves tossed with nuts and berries in a orange vinaigrette dressing.
The salad was refreshing and delicious, it was due to the use of light citrucy dressing and crunchy almonds.

APPETIZERS :-

BUTTER GARLIC PRAWNS –
Prawns tossed with loads of butter and garlic, mildly seasoned with white pepper.
Small size prawns were used in the making, Nice !

ASPARAGUS & ZUCCHINI STICKS –
Asparagus and zucchini sticks, egg washed and covered with parmesan cheese and bread crumbs, baked to perfection.
Served with garlic aioli and tangy dip.
The sticks were crunchy but under seasoned, though they tasted decent with the accompanied dip but the parmesan cheese flavour was missing.

HARISSA CHICKEN –
Chicken chunks marinted with harissa spice mix, grilled on skewers.
Served on a bed of grilled onions and bell peppers with tzatziki dip.
Wow !! This was a stellar, nice juicy chicken, extremely spicy and flavourful.

PITA WITH DIP –
Pita bread served with hummus and baba ghanush.
The chickpea hummus was nice but I liked the eggplant baba ganoush even more.

COUSCOUS FRITTERS –
Cottege cheese, spinach and bell peppers patty, coated with couscous, deep fried to perfection. Served with green harissa and garlic aioli dip.
The cous cous patty had a soft creamy cottege cheese filling, tasted delicious with the accompanied garlicy aioli.

PIZZA :-

FORMAGGIO –
Thin crust pizza topped with mozzarella/ cheddar/parmesan and guada cheese.

MARIANA –
Thin crust pizza topped with onions/sun dried tomatoes/jalapenos/capsicum and chilli oil.

The pizzas were hand stretched and made in a wood fired oven.

The base is thin but not very crispy as the pizzas are overloaded with cheese !
Some may like the generosity but I would have loved if they had gone the traditional way…..not every restaurant has the accessibility to a wood fired oven.

DESSERTS :-

BAKLAVA –
Traditional middle eastern dessert, phyllo pastry stuffed with nuts, drizzled with honey.
Served with vanilla ice cream.

TIRAMISU –
Expresso coffee soaked sponge topped with mascarpone cheese and dusted with cocoa powder.

Both the desserts were nice but baklava had the edge !

Overall, Drifters is a good option to catch-up with friends over booze !
Their food is nice, service is quick !
