Beautifully done up, Tasse De The has a magnificent french decor.

“Tasse De The” – Means Cup of Tea.

The all day open cafe-restaurant serves breakfast and it’s food menu is a interesting mix of soup, salads, appetizers, mains and desserts.

So here is what I had –

BEVERAGES :-

HEY SOUL SISTER –
French lavender and butterfly pea pod tea.
The tea was indigo in appearance, it had a mild subtle flavour of lavender coming through, Very different !

SOUP :-

ARTICHOKE WITH TRUFFLE OIL –
Artichoke blended with cream topped with fried artichokes and drizelled with truffle oil. Served with green apple scoops.
The soup was really thick and creamy, it was seasoned with black pepper, Nice !!

SALAD :-

MAPLE GLAZED PORCHED PEAR –
Glazed pear along with baby spinach/rocket leaves and radish dressed in a fig balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
Garnished with walnuts and feta cheese.
The fig vinaigrette dressing was bold sour and concentrated, creamy feta cheese balanced it well.

APPETIZERS :-

ZUCCHINI ROLL –
Zucchini roll stuffed with bell peppers/feta and parmesan cheese.
Served with saffron veloute.
Mild in its flavour, it was all about the roasted red peppers and feta cheese.

STUFFED MUSHROOMS –
Baked mushrooms stuffed with exotic veggies, topped with sriracha honey sauce.
The creamy sriracha chilli sauce was balanced with honey, stuffed mushrooms tasted delicious.

PIZZA :-

FIAMMA –
Mexican tortilla base pizza layered with tomato sauce, topped with jalapenos/asparagus/spring onions/rocket leaves/olives and mozzarella cheese.
The thin tortilla base was really crispy, the toppings and cheese was adequate, can’t go wrong !!
Must try !!

MAINS :-

COTTAGE CHEESE STEAK –
Grilled cottage cheese, topped with cajun spice sauce, garnished with zucchini and cherry tomatoes.
Served with mexican rice/grilled french beans and parmesan crisps.
The cajun sauce was sour creamy and spicy.
The mexican spiced rice was fantastic.
Loved the melody of flavours !!

Desserts :-

PISTACHIO IN WHITE CHOCOLATE –
White chocolate cylinders filled with pistachios and vanilla ice cream, garnished with candy floss.
Served over a bed of masala milk.
Insanely delicious, the white chocolate combination with nutty masala milk was terrific. Must try !!

Overall, I had a great time.
Tasse De The has a mesmerizing ambiance.
Their food is delicious and it’s best suited for a developed palate who relishes subtle flavours.
