Pantry is a cosy all day cafe located at Fort, Mumbai.

The casual laid back cafe focuses on creating it’s food using “fresh-local-seasonal” produce !

It’s open kitchen dishes out freshly made waffles, beverages, soup, salad, sandwiches, pies, mains and desserts.

Pantry also has a inhouse bakery, so all the breads used in the dishes are extremely fresh and one gets an option of gluten free as well.

The cafe even makes its own accompaniments like mustard dip, mayonnaise, tomato relish and hot sauce.

One can also purchase it’s freshly baked cookies, breads and spreads over the counter.

So here is what I had –

BEVERAGES :-

CHOCOLATE MILK SHAKE –
Chocolate milk shake made with almond milk and salted caramel.
There was no added sugar, sweetness was coming from the caramel sauce, Nice !

LATTE –
Roasted organic green bean coffee made with almond milk.
Freshly grounded coffee aroma was dominant, Loved it !

SALADS :-

WINTER SALAD –
Baby arugula leaves/baby carrots/radish/granola and shredded coconut dressed in a lemony dressing.
The baby arugula leaves were not at all pungent, light citrusy dressing added a nice light texture to the salad.

QUICK BITES :-

CHICKEN PIE –
Oven baked puff pastry pie stuffed with chicken/roasted tomatoes and cheese.
Served with tomato relish, mustard dip and house salad.
The chicken filling was generous, puff pastry was flaky and even the accompanied tomato relish had a fresh basil flavour, Fantastic !

SANDWICHES :-

CHAMPION –
Homemade country loaf stuffed with chicken breast/mayonnaise and arugula.
Served with mustard dip, tomato relish, hot sauce, roasted sweet potato fries and house salad.
The chicken filling was soft and juicy, the mayo had a hint of mustard as well, Really nice !

MAINS :-

SMOKED CHICKEN –
Homemade gluten free linguini pasta tossed with roasted chicken and drizelled with pumpkin sauce.
Garnished with micro greens.
The gluten free pasta was made using ragi, rice flour and edible charcoal.
It had a beautiful smokey flavour, garlic and chilli flakes added texture.
I even loved the addition of crunchy snow peas. Fantastic !!!

DESSERTS :-

TRIPLE LAYERED MORINGA CAKE –
Moringa drum stick power sponge cake layered with cream cheese and topped with fresh strawberries.
Extremely delicious, the fresh cream cheese had a hint of sourness, it really went well with moringa.

Overall, Pantry is fabulous !
I enjoyed it’s rustic ambiance, fresh soulful food and warm service.
