Going by the theme and cuisine, Lima has an extremely vibrant ambiance.

Lima’s food menu takes it’s inspiration from Mexican, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine.

It offers favourite street foods of mexico, costal delicacies from peru, barbecue grills from Brazil.

Lima also has a separate section for nikkei and chifa, which are basically Japanese and Chinese dishes with a peruvian touch.

It’s crisp menu includes bar nibbles, soup, salads, ceviche, tiraditos, tacos, grills, quesadillas, burritos, pizzette, mains and desserts.

Lima also has a well stocked bar that offers south american classic cocktails along with indian imported wines and spirits.

So here is what i had –

COCKTAIL :-

PISCO SOUR –
Peru’s national drink, pisco muddled with egg white and sweet n sour mix.
Smooth to the palate, light and crisp in its flavour. Nice !

BAR NIBBLES :-

TORTILLA CHIPS WITH DIP –
Crispy tortilla chips served with assorted dips.
The tortilla chips were made fresh and  sprinkled with mexican spice mix, this added a lot of flavour.
The assorted dips included sour cream/smoked green tomato salsa and tomato salsa.
I really liked the green tomato salsa, it was infused with coal flavour.

SALAD :-

CHICKEN CAUSA –
Potato mash seasoned with aji amarillo chillies, topped with minced chipotle chicken. Garnished with grated boiled eggs.
Wow ! This was something new, cool spicy potato salad, absolutely refreshing to the palate.

Both the tacos were fantastic, the seafood was fresh, flavouring was balanced.

CEVICHE CLASSICO –
Seabass chunks cured with tiger milk.
Served with sweet potatoes.
Garnished with beetroot crisps.
The tiger milk is made using green lemon juice/garlic/aji amarillo chillies/coriander and fish trimmings.
Ceviche is a fresh raw seafood dish of peru, extremely well made, the fish was super citrusy but it was beautifully balanced with sweet potatoes.

Garnished with sesame seeds.
The prawns were succulent, tarty rice wine vinegar and garlic flavour was bang on !

The chilli sauce was made aji amarillo chillies/cheese cracker powder and parmesan cheese.
It’s a traditional peruvian chilli chicken, creamy spicy cheesy….lovely !!!

XO RICE –
Fried rice tossed with xo sauce/prawns and scallops.
Plain and simple, one gets a nice hit of xo sauce.
Xo is a dry seafood sauce from Hong Kong.
It’s made using dried scallops, shrimps, garlic and chillies.

DESSERTS :-

image

YUCCA TRESLECHE –
Yucca cake topped with orange cookie and miso caramel ice cream.
Served on a bed of tresleche (condensed milk and evaporated milk).
Garnished with sesame salt and chocolate soil.

ENAMORADO –
Baked chocolate mousse with pisco liquor/coffee and dark chocolate.
Garnished with crushed cookies.

Both the desserts were insanely delicious, very different from the usual !
I specially loved the miso caramel ice cream used in the yucca tresleches.
Even the alcohol flavoured warm chocolate mousse was equally good.

Overall, Lima is terrific !!
The highlight is surely their food.
It’s fresh and bursting with flavours.
This outcome is a due to the use of authentic imported ingredients and skillful cooking technique.
