Beatutifully done up, Panayaa is a innovative take on regional indian cuisine.

Even street food favorites have been given a modern twist.

Their pure vegetarian menu offers soup, appetizers, mains and desserts.

So here is what I had –

SOUP :-

PARMESAN CHEESE + PAPRIKA –
Parmesan cheese and cream based soup with mexican smoked paprika.
Served with toasted french bread.
The soup was super creamy, loved the kick of paprika which came as an after taste.

APPETIZERS :-

TANDOORI PANEER NAAN BOMB –
Paneer brurji stuffed in round naan balls, baked in tandoor. Garnished with cream and coriander chutney.
Simple dish, flavourful paneer bhurji, naan added a smokey texture to it.

CHEESE MUNCHIES –
Croquettes made with cheese/bell peppers and olives, served with creole dipping sauce.
Garnished with cripy sali wafers.
Nice gooey cheese, crispy outer and flavourful chilli cream dipping sauce.

VEG BIRYANI ARANCINI BALLS –
Biryani rice made into small balls, crumb fried to perfection.
Garnished with green/tamarind chutney and yogurt.
An innovative take on italian arancini balls, robust spices in the biryani worked well.

LIVE PAPDI CHAAT –
Papdi chaat prepared in front of you with onions/tomatoes/coriander/bell peppers/sev/chutney/pomegranate and crushed puris.
Cooling effect is given through liquid nitrogen.
Though the cooling given to the papdi chaat looks like a gimmick but in reality the chilled chaat tasted really nice, the best part was that the puris and sev remained crispy !

COTTEGE CHEESE INDIANA –
Cottege cheese chunks/onion/capsicum and tomatoes marinated with tandoori marinade, cooked in tandoor.
The paneer was absolutely soft, it had a nice flavour of mustard oil.

MAINS :-

VEGETABLE BHUNA –
Minced green peas and french bean kofta simmered in a thick tomato based gravy.
Flavoured with freshly ground indian whole spices.
Rich creamy and delicious, went really well with cheese naan.

DESSERTS :-

RASMALAI –
Soft rasgulla’s and sogo caviars drenched in chilled kesar milk.
Garnished with nitrogen chilled rose petals.
It’s a indian classic, extremely fresh with right amount of sweetness !

Overall, True to it’s name, Panayaa is impressive !
It has a well lit soothing ambiance and it’s vegetarian food is truly delicious !
The contemporary twist given to indian classics is simple and realistic.
