London Taxi is a Gastro Pub located at Kamla Mills, Mumbai.

As the name suggests, the pub is inspired by the city London and it’s iconic public transportation system. The pub gives you a glimpse of the city in every aspect.

The pub’s bar menu is curated by ace flair bartender, mixologist Ami Shroff.

The cocktails are made with natural ingredients and cold pressed juices.
No artificial flavours or sugar is used in the making.
This results in a hangover free indulgence.

The food menu is created by award winning chef nagraj bhat.
He brings to you progressive global cuisine which are a extension of his experience while working at a michelin star restaurant in London.

Each and every elements used in his creations like breads, sauces and even sausages are prepared in house.

COCKTAILS :-

SHERLOCK IN PICKLE –
Vodka based cocktail made with earl grey tea/wine beetroot reduction and lime juice.
Garnished with rose shrub and gherkins.

CALM SUTRA –
Gin based cocktail made with lemon/coconut water/ginger/honey/cucumbers/oranges and sugarcane ice cubes.

Both the cocktails were absolutely refreshing, the flavours were mild and subtle, smooth and easy on the palate.

SOUP :-

TRUFFLE SCENTED CHOCOLATE CARAMELIZED CAULIFLOWER VELOUTE –
Caramelized cauliflower veloute soup infused with dark chocolate.
Drizelled with truffle oil and sprinkled with cocoa powder.
Served with parmesan thyme cookies.
Cauliflower and dark chocolate is a amusing combination but they go really well together.
Truffle adds it’s aroma and the soup tastes brilliant.

PRAWNS THAI BROTH –
Prawn and coconut broth soup with minced prawns and thai herbs.
Garnished with toasted nuts and garlic flakes.
Served with artisan bread melba crisp.
The coconut soup was warm and comforting, prawn broth flavour made it amazing !!

SALADS :-

WATERMELON OLIVE THREE WAYS AND FETA MOUSSE –
Watermenon topped with olive powder/olive puree/olive tuile balsamic dressing/feta mousse and orange wedge.
Garnished with micro greens and edible flowers.
It’s a well thought out salad, olives were giving the saltiness and sour texture which was beautifully balanced with the richness of feta cheese.
Watermenon was refreshing as always !

CREAM CHEESE BROCCOLI FLORETS –
Broccoli florets marinated with cream cheese, grilled to perfection.
Served over a bed of blue cheese mayo along with tomato chilli jam.
Mild creamy broccoli tasted amazing with the whip of sharp blue cheese mayo !!

SMOKED CREAM CHEESE PRAWNS –
Prawns marinated in cream cheese and cashew nuts, grilled to perfection.
Served with apple mint yogurt and tomato chilli jam.
Juicy succulent prawns, mild creamy sour marinate, tasted amazing with tangy chilli tomato dip.

CHICKEN KIEV WITH A TWIST –
Crumb fried minced chicken balls stuffed with lemon pesto.
Served over a bed of balsamic onion marmalade.
Garnished with garlic aioli.
The chicken balls were crunchy outside and juicy inside, lemon pesto flavouring was perfect.
Tasted delicious with the balsamic vinaigrette flavoured onion marmalade.

ACHARI PRAWNS MASALA PAPAD –
Prawn crackers topped wit achari masala tossed prawns/ lemon sour cream and finely chopped green apples and pineapple tartar.
Very unique, crunchy crackers tasted delicious with a sweet sour salty toppings !!

THAI FISH CAKES –
Crispy thai herb tempered fish cakes.
Served with tangy coleslaw miso mayo.
Lemongrass flavour at it’s best, super crunchy yet soft fish cakes, miso gave a instant soya hit !

SWEET CHILLI PRAWNS ON TOAST –
Prawns mousse flavoured with kaffir lime/lemongrass and bird eye chillies.
Baked over garlic croutons
Drizelled with sweet chilli sauce.
Served with miso and wasabi mayo.
The prawns mousse was extremely flavourful, tasted delicious on the crunchy toast !

RICOTTA AND TOMATO BONDAA –
Soft ricotta cheese and hung curd, encrusted with semolina, deep fried to perfection.
Served with aioli, tomato chilli jam and poddi powder.
Literal melt in your mouth texture, soft cheesy crunchy yummy !!!

MAINS :-

MALAYSIAN SEAFOOD CURRY –
Coconut milk curry, flavoured with kokum.
Simmered with prawns/zucchini and broccoli.
Garnished with prawn crackers.
Served with lemon rice flavoured with lemongrass, kaffir lime, curry leaves and mustard seeds.
The coconut curry was extremely delicious, it had a thai and southern india influence.
Well balanced in flavours and texture.

DESSERTS :-

SALTED DARK CHOCOLATE AND WHISKEY MOUSSE –
Salted chocolate and whiskey mousse served over angles sponge and malibu sauce .
Garnished with coffee brandy snap and cocoa juripan.
Bitter salty creamy chocolate whiskey flavoured mousse tasted insanely delicious with soothing coconut cream sauce.
Crispy coffee brandy snap added the much needed crunch.
Loved it !!

Overall, London Taxi takes you on a culinary journey like no other !

The vibrant chic and beautifully done up gastropub serves tantalizing innovative quirky food and groovy cocktails !
