House of Nomad is a gastro pub located at Taj Lands End, Mumbai.
Being a part of a five star luxury hotel, the pub has a chic elegant decor and a soothing ambiance.
The gastro bar serves innovative cocktails curated by United kingdom’s award winning mixologist Andrew Pearson.
The pub also has a wide selection of wines and spirits in it’s bar menu.
Their food menu is interesting mix of tapas from across the globe, it includes desserts as well.
So here is what I had –
EXPRESS YOURSELF –
Vodka and kahlua liquier based cocktail with expresso coffee shot/chocolate britters and vanilla pod.
A well made expresso martini, fresh vanilla pod really uplifted it’s flavour !!
CHANNEL NO 6 –
Vodka based cocktail with coconut and lychee puree.
Served with edible raspberry lipstick and rose water .
A tribute to the channel perfume, this cocktail was extremely well made, coconut and lychee go really well together !
GOAT CHEESE SALAD –
Arugula/pears/oranges and beetroot tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
Garnished with goat cheese and pine nuts.
A healthy salad with crunchy greens and sour vinaigrette flavour !
Goat cheese gave a pungent texture and richness to the salad.
GRILLED PRAWNS –
Prawns tossed in butter with loads of garlic, seasoned with black pepper.
Served with toasted herb bread.
A classic butter garlic preparation, juicy succulent prawns tasted fabulous !
Thin crispy flatbread topped with arugula leaves and shaved parmesan cheese.
Drizelled with truffle oil.
Well made, sharp parmesan flavour and aroma of truffle oil.
PHYLLO PARCELS –
Phyllo pockets stuffed with goat cheese and spinach, baked to perfection.
Served with sour cream.
The parcel had a melt in your mouth texture, the garlic added to the spinach along with goat cheese made it delicious !
PERI PERI CHICKEN –
Chicken marinated with african peri peri spices, grilled on skewers.
Served with fruit chutney.
The chicken skewers were grilled to perfection, tender and juicy….
Sweet fruity chutney dip balanced the spicy chicken beautifully !
CHICKEN SHAMI ROLLS –
Shallow fried minced chicken kababs, served on mini sheermals with coriander chutney and onions .
The kababs had a mild subtle flavours of whole spices, sheermal was soft n moist…an extremely delicious roll to munch on !!
FRITTO MISTO –
Batter fried prawns and fish, served with marinara dipping sauce.
The beer batter made the seafood airy and crispy, perfect quick bite tapa.
CHOCOLATE COOKIE PUDDING –
Baked runny chocolate cookie pudding, served with bourbon ice cream.
Chocolaty, gooey bliss…..the bourbon whiskey vanilla ice cream was the perfect companion.
Overall, House of Nomad is a ideal location for a relaxed meetup…..
Their cocktails are unique and their tapas compliment them beautifully !
The taj service & hospitality is brilliant as always !
