The Finch is a Restaurant & Bar located at Saki Vihar Road, Mumbai.

The soon to launch Restaurant plays live music, serves craft beer and world cuisine.

It has a chic elegant ambiance with a understated look.

Music is the soul of Finch….it pledges to play classical, Jazz, Retro Pop, R & B, Soul, Folk and World Music with a headliner act every month from India and abroad.

New talents will be showcased and promoted.

Theme nights and live match screening will also be done on regular basis.

The Finch’s bar promises to serve Indian/imported wines n spirits with cocktails and fresh craft beer from it’s in house brewery.

The world food menu is a mix of european, Indian and Oriental cuisine.

They have a open kitchen that houses a Italian wood fired oven and a Indian tandoor.

So here is what I had –

SOUP:-

LIME CHILLI THAI STYLE –
Coconut milk broth soup with vermicelli noodles and chicken, flavoured with kaffir lime/lemongrass and bird eye chillies.
The coconut milk soup was soothing and comforting.

SALAD:-

GRILLED VEGETABLE & BURRATA –
Grilled bell peppers/arugula/babycorn/zucchini/carrots/pine nuts and burrata cheese tossed in a basil pesto dressing.
The burrata cheese gave a rich texture to the salad, loved the melody of veggies.

THAI STYLE RAW PAPAYA –
Raw papayas tossed with peanuts and cherry tomatoes along with tamarind/lime and chillies.
Simply Thai…som tam at it’s best !!

SMALL PLATES :-

FRESH SUMMER ROLLS –
Thin rice sheets stuffed with cucumber/carrots/lettuce/cottage cheese.
Served with south west mayo dipping sauce.
A Vietnamese classic, super fresh and crunchy veggies were used in the making.

MASALA PRAWNS TEMPURA –
Juicy prawns deep fried in tempura batter,  dusted with Indian spices.
Served with mint dipping sauce.
A Indian twist to the Japanese classic, Indian spices and dipping sauce worked well.

SUI MAI –
Cantonese open dumpling stuffed with minced prawns and chicken, topped with salmon caviars.
Served with xo dipping sauce.
The dry seafood dipping sauce really elevated the flavor of the dim sums, loved it !!

PIZZA :-

GREEK STYLE –
Thin hand tossed pizza topped with olives/tomatoes/kale/garlic/shallots and feta cheese.
The pizza was fantastic, perfect moist yet crispy crust, tangy tomato sauce and right amount of cheese and toppings.
Feta cheese really gave richness and freshness to the pizza.

DESSERTS :-

SALTED CARAMEL CHEESE CAKE –
Crushed oreo cookie base layered with cream cheese.
Garnished with nuts and chocolate ganache.
The cheesecake was nice, right amount of sweetness with a hint of sourness coming from the cream cheese.

Overall, Finch is a fantastic place for a night out !!!
Lively music coupled with good food and great atmosphere.
