Sheesha Sky Lounge is a rooftop restaurant  cum sheesha lounge located at Raghuvanshi Mills, lower Parel.

The spacious all day restaurant has a indoor-outdoor seating and a rustic decor.

It serves a variety of north indian and traditional mughlai delicacies.

The menu also includes asian and continental dishes, but they are yet to start.

So here is what I had –

SHEESHA –
Sheeshas are available in a variety of flavour including fresh fruit sheeshas.
I chose the pan flavour which was smooth and delightful.

BEVERAGE:-

MOCHA FRAPEE –
Milk blended with coffee/chocolate syrup and whipped cream.
Not overly creamy, strong flavour of coffee….Nice !!

APPETIZERS:-

BUTTER GARLIC PRAWNS –
Prawns tossed in a buttery sauce.
Served on a sizzling plate.
Fabulous flavour of fresh juicy prawns and freshly ground black pepper.
Loved it !! Must try !!

MACHLI AJWAINI TIKKA-
Basa fillet marinated with tandoori spices and ajwain, grilled on tandoor.
Mild in spices, dominant flavour of ajwain, nice !!

MURG CHAPLI KEBAB –
Minced chicken seasoned with ground whole spices, finally shallow fried.
Absolutely delicious, the minced chicken was juicy and flavourful.

MURG TANGDI KULFI KEBAB –
Chicken leg marinated with cream and cashew paste, filled with cheese, seasoned with black pepper, grilled on tandoor.
It was a delight to see the cheese and cream oozing out of the kebab….
Tasted equally delicious.

GHOST HALAWI KEBAB –
Mutton boiled then minced and seasoned with green chillies/garam masala and garlic, finally grilled on skewers.
Melt in your mouth texture, subtle flavour !!!
Fabulous !!!

JHINGA KALI MIRCH TIKKA –
Prawns marinated with coconut milk and black pepper, grilled on tandoor.
Fresh n juicy, delicately seasoned. Perfect !!

MAIN COURSE:-

MURG MATKA –
Chicken simmered in a cashew paste gravy with cloves/cassia and cumin powder, finally tempered in desi ghee.
Nice creamy texture with a dominant flavour of cumin.

MURG DUM BIRYANI –
Long grain basmati rice blended with saffron, layered with boneless chicken.
Seasoned with cardamom/cumin/coriander/bay leaf and cinnamon.
Garnished with fried onions .
Mild and subtle in flavor, finely chopped green chillies added zing !!!

WARRI PARATHA –
Refined flour dough kneaded with milk and saffron, made into a laccha paratha on tandoor.
Went well with matka chicken.

DESSERTS:-

PHIRNI –
Crushed rice phirni, loaded with kesar and chopped almonds.
Extremely delicious !!! Must try !!

Overall, I enjoyed my meal.
Even after having such a elaborate menu, sky lounge is able to do justice to the food it serves .

I specially liked their kebas alot…..
Soft n succulent, bursting with flavour !

An ideal place to catch-up with friends over hookah and good food at Lower Parel.
